Philosophy

When we talk about the philosophy of our hotel, we define it whit a unique sentence “Pleasure among friends” – this is the principle that we want to maintain also in the reality. Here, the pleasures are represented by the excellent culinary, an ideal wines assortment, quiet and moments of relaxation in our wellness area, funny excursions and a cordial and familiar atmosphere – all that can make unique the stay of our hosts.

We put much engagement to achieve each objective in our work. We want to introduce you briefly our family: Erika and Paul are the principal forces of our Hotel Pfeiss.

In 1988, Erika has decided to follow the footprints of his parents, together with his husband Paul, taking in management the hotel. At the present, Erika follows with care the preparation of the different activities, so as in kitchen and in the service.

Paul is always at disposal of the hosts to give advice and suggestions, for example for the excursions or in the tastings of wines. He is’ the reference person and realises always the numerous requests.

Daniel is the chef our hotel and belongs to CookArt, the international association of chefs – founded to interpret in an innovative way the cuisine of South Tyrol and to give support and motivation to the young cooks. When Daniel is not present in kitchen or at the bar of the hotel, he is certainly at some event of CookArt. Besides, Daniel is responsible for the activity of marketing of our hotel and is in the position of becoming the future boss.

Stefanie is responsible for the reception and gives her help during the evening service. Also, when events are booked, Stefanie is your competence interlocutor and is always ready to listen to your requests.

Story of our house

 

Maria and Josef erected our house on the Pfeiss meadow in 1964. Until 1988, the two founders managed the hotel with dedication and engagement. Thanks to the tasty local kitchen and the cordial hospitality, they became popular in a short space of time. Many guests from close and far have always returned willingly to visit them. Many local guests come by us still today.

Erika, their daughter, manages the guesthouse with her husband Paul Überbacher since 1988. In 2000, we finished the construction of a biggest structure, where we have respected the expectations of our habitual guests. In the meantime, the children, Stefanie and Daniel have started to help us, as a good family tradition. That is why we have decided to transform our house into a hotel in 2012.

We decided together with the whole family to reach the four-stars-category to ensure to our guests greater rest, pleasure and culinary highlights.

This change has foreseen a renovation and has also, widened the services offer for our habitual guests.

Even if our house has undergone a transformation during the years, the most important aspect has never changed: We are always a familiar house with the relaxed atmosphere, in which we hope that everyone can feel comfortable and take a rest.
